Hyperfine structure

In atomic physics, hyperfine structure is defined by small shifts in otherwise degenerate energy levels and the resulting splittings in those energy levels of atoms, molecules, and ions, due to electromagnetic multipole interaction between the nucleus and electron clouds.
Heavy Rydberg system
A heavy Rydberg system consists of a weakly bound positive and negative ion orbiting their common centre of mass. Such systems share many properties with the conventional Rydberg atom and consequently are sometimes referred to as heavy Rydberg atoms
Schweizerische Studienstiftung
The Swiss Study Foundation is a foundation that promotes outstanding students during their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Requirements for admission are outstanding intellectual interests and capabilities, creativity, and character
Session One
Session One is an album released by The Herbaliser on 26 May 2000. While the band had been together since the mid-1990s, contributing to and promoting Herbaliser's largely electronically produced albums, this was the first studio album recorded with a
Gist (graphics software)
In computing, Gist is a scientific graphics library written in C by David H. Munro of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. It supports three graphics output devices: X Window, PostScript, and Computer Graphics Metafiles (CGM). The library is promoted
FRM II
The Research Neutron Source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz is a leading German research reactor and neutron source, named in honor of the physicist Heinz Maier-Leibnitz who had conducted a highly successful research program at its predecessor, the FRM I. Operated
Rabi frequency
The Rabi frequency is the radian frequency of the Rabi cycle undergone for a given atomic transition in a given light field. This is thus the frequency of fluctuations in the populations of the two atomic levels involved in that atomic transition in that
Landau–Zener formula
The Landau–Zener formula is an analytic solution to the equations of motion governing the transition dynamics of a two-state quantum system, with a time-dependent Hamiltonian varying such that the energy separation of the two states is a linear function
Transition dipole moment
The transition dipole moment or transition moment, usually denoted for a transition between an initial state, , and a final state, , is the electric dipole moment associated with the transition between the two states. In general the transition dipole
Chrysolaminarin
Chrysolaminarin is a linear polymer of β(1→3) and β(1→6) linked glucose units in a ratio of 11:1. It used to be known as leucosin
France Bleu Pays de Savoie
France Bleu Pays de Savoie, sometimes referred to as France Bleu Savoie, is a generalist radio station based in Chambéry. The radio station serves the departments of Savoie and Haute-Savoie, though it can also be received as far as Geneva, Lyon, and in
